Lot's of things change. In April 2005 I stopped teaching after about 15 years. It's bittersweet as I miss teaching, but I'm glad to have more time with my family.

Another interesting thing that has happened is getting back into photography as a hobby. After taking my old FM2 out on a snow day for the first time in 5 years, I was really pleasantly suprised with the images I got back. What I didn't like was waiting for the film to get developed.

So, in a couple months I wound up getting a Nikon D50, and wound up selling all my old film gear, including all the lenses. I've got mixed feelings on digital cameras, but I can't deny the instant gratification they provide. Combined with an Epson R320 I can take a picture and have a perfect 8x10 print in a matter of minutes.

And of course, since I'm a gear head I decided to mix the two passions. I created a web site called Snapolis.com that serves as a directory for photographers, models, and make-up artists. It's something of a labor of love, as I also have siblings who are an aspiring model and a professional makeup artist.

I also think it has a number of cool features. Members can create image portfolios, an Intro text, make entries in their resume or references, and receive messages anonymously through the site. A labor of love, because its all free and I have no plans to make money from it.

So, I recommend Snapolis.com if your in that field.

Eventually, I'll start to post some of my pictures here when I get a chance. 5 months with the camera and over 4,000 pictures, I have about a dozen keepers ;)
